A fundraising concert benefiting the Markham Federation of Filipino Canadians which provides several community-based services to all walks of life. Karen is the producer and director of the show, and also one of the performers alongside a cast of local Filipino talents in Toronto.
During the Philippine President’s short visit, Karen was one of the featured performers invited to perform for the event.
A fundraising concert benefiting the Markham Stoufville Hospital and its staff in memory of Karen’s mother who passed away from breast cancer. The sold out concert raised over $40,000.00 dollars for the hospital.
The only featured performer for the event with several high profile sponsor guests.
New Year’s Eve Gala held at the Westin Harbourcastle. Featured performer and highlight of the band.
Valentine’s ball held at the Metro Convention Centre. Of the 2 performers for the show, Karen represented the local Canadian scene. Performed numerous songs for the evening.

Media coverage for ethnic television show shown every Thursday on CFMT; four episodes from 1998 to 1998, hosted the show for four months. Performed for televised Canada Day celebrations at the CNE grounds in 1997.
